Provence

Provence was a dream for so long, and I knew I wanted to experience it with my mom. She appreciates the slower moments in life, constantly reminding me to slow down (in a good way), and I knew everything in Provence was going to force us to stop and marvel at every detail.

We opted for the Chateau de la Gaude just outside of Aix en Provence. I can't even remember how I found it, but I was searching for a countryside escape somewhere close to one of the main towns. I knew we'd only have a few days, so it made it a little easier to splurge on the little luxuries.

Pulling into the long driveway at Chateau de la Gaude was so surreal. I knew it was going to be beautiful, but I had no idea the undeniable, jaw-dropping charm this place would have. The estate consisted of 4 restaurants, a spa & pool, multiple gardens, vineyards, and courtyards… not to mention our room which was the French sleeping chamber of my dreams. They greeted us with a bottle of rosé from the chateau and a full wine tasting with the sommelier.
