Mediterranean Blues

In general, I avoid bright colors when selecting anything for my home. I prefer the personality of the home to come from various textures and mixed-media art. However, the bold contrast of Mediterranean exteriors calms me and feels peaceful. In Greece, there are community rules as to which color your shutters and door can be as well as a requirement of painting your property white on a yearly basis (on some islands, of course). Whenever I am on a Mediterranean coast, I'm always captivated by feeling I get from being immersed in such tranquil spaces.
